Dear all, if you live within 30km from the gallery we encourage you to participate in the open call for 30 x 30 x 30 2026

Marieke Severens and curator Roy Voragen invite contemporary artists from the Maastricht region (within a 30 km radius) to respond to our open call:

We invite artists to submit work on and with paper – drawings, graphic works, collages, visual poetry, etc. – measuring no more than 30 by 30 centimetres to fit in a frame.

We will invite 30 artists to exhibit three works each in the gallery at Kapoenstraat 29, Maastricht, during the three days of Maastricht Gallery Weekend – 16, 17 and 18 October 2026. The ninety works will be displayed in such a way as to create a multifaceted and layered narrative about contemporary art on and with paper.

The aim of the group exhibition is to provide a platform for professional artists in the region, giving them visibility and access to a more diverse audience. The gallery and curator also hope to use the open call to get to know artists they may not yet be familiar with. Furthermore, we aim to contribute to the profiling and professionalisation of the art ecosystem in Maastricht and the surrounding area. The works will be shown in the gallery until october 31st, but will be visible with the artist profile on a website.
