ONGOING explores their work as an ongoing process:
in motion, unfinished, and open to change. Their work is characterised by the absence of an end point, but rather snapshots within a longer development: of concepts, ideas, materials, and meanings. In the dialogue between the three artists, a tension arises between what is, what was and what could still be. ONGOING invites visitors to reflect on the temporary nature of creating and viewing, and on art as something that continues to unfold, even after the moment of presentation.
ONGOING is a stento exhibition by Nieke Lemmens, Jo Frenken and Yornel Martinez, in which art is presented as an ongoing process. The works are in a state of becoming and emphasise movement, change.
