Maastricht Gallery Weekend
The third weekend of October will be dedicated to Maastricht Gallery Weekend. No fewer than 22 galleries will open their doors to art lovers from the Netherlands and abroad.
The event kicks off with a festive opening night on Friday, October 17th, at 6:00 PM, with each participating gallery hosting a special activity such as a vernissage, artist talk, workshop, or live music. All locations will be open Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

For the 4th edition of Maastricht Gallery Weekend 2025 – 17, 18 and 19 October – Marieke Severens Gallery, in collaboration with curator Roy Voragen, will be showing work by 30 selected artists from the Maastricht area (within a 30 km radius of the gallery). Each of the artists will display three works on/with paper in a format of 30 x 30 cm. From young, recently graduated talent to established artists, work has been selected from an open call to provide an overview of the rich regional art scene.
The aim of the group exhibition is to provide a platform for professional artists working in the region, giving them visibility and access to a diverse audience. The gallery and curator use the open call to get to know artists they do not yet know (well). Furthermore, the aim is to contribute to the profiling and professionalisation of the art ecosystem in Maastricht and the surrounding area. And to keep the momentum going, we want to organise the open call and exhibition annually.
