Bike tour: searching for Nota in the landscape of du Geer on 9 August 2025

For his new exhibition at Marieke Severens Gallery, Willibrord Nota found inspiration in the buildings he encounters when cycling in the French speaking part of Belgium where  the Jeker is called the Geer.

On Saturday August 9, Willibrord Nota is organising a bike tour to take you along a number of buildings in the Geer Valley. The tour departs from the gallery at 11 a.m., where you will first view the exhibition.
The tour then heads towards Eben Emaels, crossing the border at Kanne. Along the way,
there will be several stops to admire the landscape and the buildings.

The tour, including stops, will take 3 hours. We will then return to Maastricht. The tour is around 10 km long and there are no major hills.
