Tineke Kambier
Tineke Kambier (born 1960) lives and works in Maastricht.
The main feature of her work is capturing everyday situations.
In doing so, she has a penchant for nothing spots in the urban environment. As a result, her photographs often show wondrous still lifes and landscapes that describe the area between abstraction and figuration, and between alienation and recognisability.
Even abandoned situations in interiors of offices, homes, living rooms and shop windows do not escape her concentrated attention. Here, objects have taken over the role of people. They are the actors who tell the story.
