As visual artist Sjaak Korsten, (The Netherlands, Helden, 1957)
makes paintings, works on paper, objects, photographs and installations.
His works are poetic, intimate and personal.
Everyday objects and situations are isolated and put in a different context, 
so that there is a deeper poetic value to them.
They depict the desire for beauty and truth.

Sjaak Korsten has a long list of museum and gallery shows. His work is incorporated in public and private collections.
