Prisca Sinay
I studied Fine Arts (Graphic & Design) at St. Joost Academy in Breda and at the Academy of Fine
Arts (Monumental Art) in Maastricht, the Netherlands.
After finishing my studies at Fine Arts, I went to Spain, where I did a master (Literature, Poetry and
History of art) at the Universidad de Granada, Granada. Once returned to the Netherlands I
worked as an artist and developed art projects independently, before joining the team of Studio
Kernland in Maastricht. In 2007 the ‘Stichting i’ was founded in 2007 and I became member of the
board. The overall aim was to inspire a group and variety of people through the use of art and
culture by making connections between contemporary fields of activities and to promote
European culture internationally.
In 2008 I emigrated to Granada, to live and work in Andalusia, Spain. Travelling to Spain and the
African continent had an important influence on me, which is still reflected in my work. Nowadays
I work both from Málaga (ES) and Maastricht (NL), where I have a studio.
Work in private collections in the Netherlands, Germany, France, Spain, Denmark, Norway & US.
