Pascale Leenders
Pascale Leenders (Dutch, b. 1967) sees photography as both a dialogue with the world and a reflection of her inner self. Her fascination with the medium began at an early age, driven by a sensitivity to atmosphere and a desire to capture fleeting moments that evoke a particular emotion.
With a degree in Photography from the Fotoacademie in Amsterdam, she has developed an artistic practice rooted in close observation—where light, colour, and subtle detail become ways of understanding and feeling.
Inspired by nature, her immediate surroundings, and abstract painting, Leenders transforms memories and emotions into layered, poetic abstractions. Her images blur the line between external perception and inner experience, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and engage with her work through their own lens.
Leenders has exhibited in the Netherlands and abroad.
