Mario Pasqualotto
Mario Pasqualotto was born in 1953 in Barcelona. He has evolved in many sectors: installations, performances, sculpture, jewelery and many more.
In the past he worked in U.S.A but now lives and works in his studio in Barcelona. His life was focused on creation, but since then he moved away from his architectural and designer work in 1988, and is now mostly focused on introspection, and quest of his own identity.
His style can be described as a cross between conceptual art and Povera Arte. He is influenced by artists ranging from Giotto to Mario Merz.
He works and does a thorough research on his subject for a long time and then creates pieces with material and techniques which are sometimes conventional and other times aren’t.
Mario Pasqualetto did his first exhibition in Barcelona in 1975 and since then has done many other exhibitions in museums and galleries around the world. His work can be seen in several important art collections.
