Deniece Sami Juliana Clermonts
Deniece Sami Juliana Clermonts, born January 18, 1989, in Maastricht, is a multidisciplinary artist and educator with a background in fashion design (graduated in 2011).
In 2013, she shifted her focus to visual art and painting, using creativity as a tool for navigating mental health challenges.
Her work is raw, intimate, and deeply rooted in the exploration of the body-mind connection.
As a community-driven artist, Deniece uses art to foster mental wellbeing and human connection.
Her artist statement:
“I am a passionate creator who draws daily, using intuitive scribbles to explore the human body and psyche.
My work delves into identity, self-expression, and the subconscious.
My curiousity and unlimited amount of energy motivate me to use various ways of expression; drawing/scribbling (with ink, watercolor, chalk, crayon, digital), painting, music and performance.
Since I am interested in the interactive part of creating I also teach and give workshops and I love to do live- painting and bodypainting.
This results into an exclusive, immersive experience that uniquely blends art and the human form.”
